Billing Coordinator
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in a related or acceptable field relevant to the Helen R Tucker Adult Developmental Center program (unless approved by the Board of Directors and/or the Executive Director
- Experience equivalent to two (2) years of full-time billing and documentation experience
- Possession of a valid Tennessee driver’s license
Knowledge and Abilities
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of designing and implementing programs for the developmentally disabled
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of supervision and training necessary for staff who work with developmentally disabled
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of effective time management
- Ability to implement and monitor programs for persons supported
- Ability to train, supervise, and evaluate staff documentation as related to the requirements of DIDD
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in verbal and written form
- Knowledge of office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Knowledge of agency Electronic Health Records program Therap
- Ability to be flexible in his/her job position
- Knowledge of pertinent rules and regulations as set forth by the agency and DIDD
- Knowledge and skills necessary for conflict management
Essential Duties
- Supervise and enforce policies, programs, and operational procedures
- Evaluate daily documentation for all persons supported by the agency
- Accurately document billing times and enter information into the agency spreadsheet
- Accurately input data into the DIDD billing system
- Assist in implementing and ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of an Individual Support Plan (ISP) and/or Behavioral Support Plan (BSP) for each person supported by the agency
- Assist the Executive Director in meeting the quality assurance standards set forth by DIDDS
- Assist the Executive Director with maximizing billing efforts throughout all agency programs
- Provide resolution responses to billing deficiencies
- Update ISP programs in Therap as new programs are received
- Provide resolution to billing deficiencies before, during, and after the annual agency Quality Assurance Survey
- Provide a safe work environment for all persons supported and staff
- Maintain a positive working relationship with fellow staff members
- Maintain a positive, professional relationship with persons supported and guardians
- Discharge all other job-related duties as assigned by the Executive Director and/or the Board of Directors
- Implement conflict management when necessary
- Assist the Executive Director with agency employees' morale and cohesion
