Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited two (2) year degree program.
- One (1) year experience in a field related to the mission of the agency
- Possession of a valid Tennessee Driver’s License
Knowledge and Abilities
- Knowledge of routine mathematical principles, practices, and methods of bookkeeping
- Knowledge of office procedures, practices, and equipment
- Knowledge of efficient organizational skills and efficient maintenance of records
- Basic computer literacy
Essential Duties
- Maintain a positive working relationship with fellow staff members and supervisors
- Supervise and enforce policies, programs, and operational procedures of the agency
- Keep accurate records
- Be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and confidentiality of records
- Provide a safe work environment for all persons supported and staff
- Present a positive working relationship and maintain a positive working environment with all agency employees
- Maintain accurate check book logs for all persons supported in the Residential setting
- Maintain financial balances on each person supported and adjust budgets according to funds available
- Ensure all bills are paid on time and not incurring late fees or disconnect notices
- Write reloads for food and personal cards for each person supported in the Residential setting
- Write allowance checks for each person supported in the Residential setting
- Reconcile cash flow logs for each person supported in the Residential setting (including food cards, personal cards, and cash on hand)
- File all receipts as bills are paid in the appropriate files.
- Attach appropriate receipts to bank statements after reconciliation
- Conduct a monthly house check for each Residential home to ensure cash logs are accurate in the homes for cash on hand and receipts are present.
- Notify the Residential Coordinator and Executive Director immediately if any discrepancy is found on any cash log.
- Ensure checks are reordered in a timely manner for all persons supported in the Residential setting.
- File appropriate paperwork in a timely manner regarding food stamps, SSA and SSI for all persons supported in the Residential setting, ensuring there are no lapses in time to avoid loss of benefits.
- Discharge any other job-related duties as assigned by the management Team and/or Executive Director
- Implement all agency and DIDD policies and regulations
- Provide conflict management when needed
- Implement all Board of Directors requirements
- Assist the Executive Director with building agency employees’ morale and cohesion
